Sharing live music in Elmbridge with RC Sherriff Trust

Music in Hospitals & Care is delighted to have once again received funding from The RC Sherriff Trust to share specially-created live music experiences with people who may not otherwise get to experience it in Elmbridge, Surrey.

The Trust celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and has awarded over £50,000 since it first began supporting the charity in 1995.
The grant will help to fund events such as the ‘MusicaliTea’ series at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames, which invites local care homes, day centres and those in the community to enjoy some music and cake at the historic venue.

“The RC Sherriff Trust are pleased to be able to provide funding support to Music in Hospitals and Care in 2023. The benefit to Elmbridge residents that Music in Hospitals & Care provide through their music programme is vital in addressing issues of health and wellbeing, especially during these difficult times. The Trust is thrilled to continue this longstanding partnership and look forward to working together in 2023.” Pete Allen, Director, The RC Sherriff Trust.

We’ve been sharing the joy of live music with children, their families and staff at Reuben’s Retreat in Glossop. The sessions are designed to soothe and support children with life limiting illnesses and offer an opportunity for families to connect with others who understand their experience.

Special live music for Burns Night

Burns Night celebrates the poems and songs of Scotland’s national bard Robert Burns and his lasting legacy. Our musician John Davidson is sharing two special live music experiences at Woodend Hospital in Aberdeen to commemorate the day.
