Make double the difference this March

From today until midday on 24 March, every donation will be doubled up to £5,000. Donate today to make twice the impact and create moments of real connection through live music for people in hospitals and care settings.

Studies show that live music in ICU settings helps reduce staff stress, regulate patients’ breathing and heart rate, and provide rare moments of calm and connection.

“I remember a family had gathered to say their goodbyes to their elderly father who was receiving end of life care. The music allowed all the emotion to finally come pouring out, in tears and in words,” says Music in Hospitals & Care musician Paul Kerr.

Rudy Green shares live music in the intensive care unit at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He explains how live music can play an important role in reducing anxiety and pain for patients and their families:

From midday on 17 to 24 March, every donation will be match-funded up to £5,000. This means donations will be doubled, making twice the impact for people in hospitals and care.
