Thank you Givto!

This month we were thrilled to feature on Givto, which has helped to raise vital funds to share the healing power of live music.

Givto is a new way to donate to charity that allows users to give to a different cause each month with one simple Direct Debit. The service was developed by volunteers in Leeds who wanted to support local charities during the pandemic. Following a successful pilot in Yorkshire, Givto is now being rolled out to people nationwide. Givto offers users the chance to support local charities and discover new causes – like ours.

Each month, Givto users are given three causes to choose from. We were one of the charities featured in January, and we’re delighted that so many Givto users chose to support us.  We received a generous donation of £430.54 from their donors.

The donations from Givto users will be used to share the healing power of live music with people in hospitals and care across the UK. From premature babies to older people living in care homes or people experiencing end of life care, our live music works to improve their health and wellbeing.

If you want to support us on a regular basis you can become our Friend or to help more causes like ours, you can sign up to donate with Givto today.

Student Volunteering Week: Molly

It’s Student Volunteering Week, and we’re celebrating the important role student volunteers play in helping us share the joy of live music with communities across the UK.

Children’s Mental Health Week: Reuben’s Retreat

We’ve been sharing the joy of live music with children, their families and staff at Reuben’s Retreat in Glossop. The sessions are designed to soothe and support children with life limiting illnesses and offer an opportunity for families to connect with others who understand their experience.

Special live music for Burns Night

Burns Night celebrates the poems and songs of Scotland’s national bard Robert Burns and his lasting legacy. Our musician John Davidson is sharing two special live music experiences at Woodend Hospital in Aberdeen to commemorate the day.
