Thanking our retiring trustees Alan Jacques and Roger Luxmoore-Styles

Following the charity’s Annual General Meeting on 3 November 2021, we said goodbye to two of our long-standing trustees. Dr Alan Jacques and Roger Luxmoore-Styles. Both have been trustees for a number of years.

Roger (pictured above) joined the board in 2012, and brought his experience as a solicitor alongside a personal passion for music, having sung in Hadleigh Choral Society in Suffolk for over 25 years.

Alan has been involved with the charity for over 30 years, having been a committee member in Scotland and also a musician before joining our Board in 2013. Alan was one of our longest standing members of the Board of Trustees and continues to support the charity in lots of ways. In September 2019, he performed a solo piano recital raising over £3,000.

Peter Fairlie, Chair of Trustees for Music in Hospitals & Care said:

“We have been extremely fortunate in having two excellent trustees in Roger and Alan over the last decade.  They have helped steer the charity in an exciting new direction over the years, and through the challenges brought on by the pandemic.  We are sorry to lose their wise counsel and thank them very much for their commitment and service.”

We would like to join Peter in thanking them for their longstanding support and all the fantastic work they achieved.

We are also pleased to offer a warm welcome to three new trustees. We are excited to have Atheer Al-Salim, Angharad Thomas and Dimple Keen join the board. Each brings a wealth of experience and a passion for live music. We look forward to working with them over the coming years.
