Reaching communities in the Channel Islands

Kate Burchill recently retired as Live Music Coordinator South of England and Channel Islands for Music in Hospitals & Care. During her five years with the charity, Kate has been instrumental in developing our programme of live music on the islands of Jersey and Guernsey.

Introducing our new strategy

Today, Music in Hospitals & Care has launched their three-year strategy. This strategy will help realise our long-term ambition – to make sure people in hospitals and care enjoy a better quality of life and improved health outcomes.

Didsbury Guitar Trail 2023

Anne Fraser’s Crafty Creations

Earlier this month our supporter Anne Fraser in East Lothian opened up her house to share her ‘Crafty Creations’ with the community. The exhibition showcased her design talents and incredibly creative ideas for using items which might otherwise get thrown away.

Music for mindfulness

The second resource we are sharing share to celebrate our 75th anniversary is an animated guide on how to listen to music mindfully. Everyone can use simple exercises like this to help them slow down and reconnect.
