We are fortunate to be supported by a network of volunteer ambassadors who champion the charity. One of those inspiring voices is Cara Manning-Diabira.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Age Connects Torfaen. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, we will be able to share live music twice a month for the next two years.

It’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week and we’re celebrating the role that live music plays in patient recovery at Ty Llidiard, an inpatient care facility for young people with severe mental illness.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re spotlighting our regular ‘music jams’ at The Hive at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and celebrating how live music supports the mental wellbeing of patients.

We are marking Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May with two specially curated live music performances for veterans in Scotland, celebrating their resilience through the healing power of music.

Music in Hospitals & Care visits Royal Edinburgh Hospital’s Canaan and Fairmile wards around once a month, where soprano Daniela Hathaway draws on her extensive experience working with people living with dementia to create an interactive live music experience.

A huge thank you to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, who have raised £1 million since 2017 to help keep the music playing across the UK.

All of our charity places for 2026 have now been filled, but if you have your own place we would love to have you on our team! No minimum fundraising required for ballot places.

Earlier this month, a group of our professional musicians had the honour of attending the King’s Community Music Makers Reception at Windsor Castle, a special event celebrating the important role music plays in bringing communities together.
