Our trustees bring a wide range of skills, experience and perspectives to the charity. They play a big part in sharing the joy of live music with people who need it most by making important strategic decisions.
Internationally renowned Welsh tenor Jeremy Huw Williams has been a volunteer ambassador for Music in Hospitals & Care since 2013 and has served as a trustee since 2016. This year, as he comes to the end of his trustee tenure, we want to celebrate his remarkable contributions and thank him for his dedication over the past eleven years.
Jeremy’s talent as an experienced opera singer has supported several charity events over the years. Beyond performing, his experience and advice have helped shape the charity’s work, supporting Music in Hospitals & Care to develop its programmes for people in hospitals, care homes and community centres.
Reflecting on his time as a trustee, Jeremy said:
“As a Trustee of Music in Hospitals & Care for the past nine years, I have been privileged to witness how music can reduce anxiety and relieve pain, boosting mood and wellbeing.”
Like many charities, Music in Hospitals & Care is facing the challenges of a difficult economic climate and fundraising landscape. But with the support and leadership of our trustees, and the dedication of our staff and musicians, we’re working hard to meet the demand for our live music and reach people across the UK.
Trustees’ Week is a chance to recognise the vital role trustees play in strengthening the charity sector and thank them for their time, commitment and leadership. If you are interested in becoming a trustee, we will be looking for new members to join the board in early 2026, so please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.
