Step into Christmas and share the healing power of live music

10th November 2020

This Christmas looks likely to be a challenging time for all of us. While we don’t know yet how we will celebrate, we do know that it is going to be quite different to what we are used to.

Now more than ever it is important for Music in Hospitals & Care to share live music with people in healthcare settings; people who are particularly isolated and vulnerable at this time. They need the healing power of live music to lift their spirits and improve their wellbeing.

You can help us do this by taking part in our fun fundraising challenge this December, and asking your family and friends to sponsor you as you ‘Step into Christmas’ for Music in Hospitals & Care.

With lockdowns across the country impacting how we can exercise and the winter nights drawing in, keeping active and healthy is a challenge for many of us.

Exercise is great for physical and mental wellbeing, and so we have created a fundraising challenge to help you stay motivated to keep active and Step into Christmas this December.

The Step into Christmas challenge allows you to set your own daily step challenge. Whatever your fitness level and available time, you can set a daily step target that works for you.

You can join our special Facebook group where you will be able to chat to others completing the challenge, get support and keep the motivation high on those winter days when no one wants to go for a walk and asking for sponsorship feels hard! The group will be fun and engaging to keep your spirits up as you step through your challenge.

How to get involved

❆  To get started, fill in our registration form
❆  Choose a number of daily steps that would be a challenge for you, and commit to doing at least that number of steps every day from 1 – 24 December 2020
❆  Once you have submitted your form, we will contact you with the next steps including how to create your JustGiving fundraising page
❆  Share your challenge progress with your family and friends and raise money to share the healing power of music

So Merry Christmas one and all, there’s no place I’d rather be… than asking you if you’d oblige ‘Stepping into Christmas’ with me. – Elton John
