We have recently welcomed three new members to our Board of Trustees, who bring their skills and experience in different areas to the charity.
Dr Jennifer MacRitchie
Jennifer has worked in academic research for over 12 years. This has combined cognitive science, music and engineering to explore how music can impact health and wellbeing for older adults and those living with dementia.
Jennifer is an avid performer on the piano and viola. She was inspired to join the board after hearing about the continued work of Music in Hospitals & Care throughout the pandemic.
Dr Alasdair Dow
Alasdair is a former Intensive Care Consultant who has practiced in the USA and across South West England. He was inspired to become a trustee with Music in Hospitals & Care after witnessing first hand the benefit that music can have on patients recovering from severe illness.
Alasdair enjoys playing the trumpet and lives near Exeter with his wife, sons, chickens and a dog.
Silvia Denaro
Silvia is a digital transformation professional with experience in CRM customisation, project management, change management and operations. She has joined the Board as a ‘digital trustee’ to support the charity through its digital transformation project.
Since learning how to play the piano as a child, music has remained an integral part of Silvia’s family life.
Please give today to help improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
