Trek To Ancient Petra

This challenging and adventurous trek takes you through unique landscapes in one of the friendliest countries in the world, ending at the impressive rock-hewn facades of Petra’s red canyons, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Starting at Dana, you will follow ancient Bedouin paths for one hundred spectacular, vista-packed kilometres of the 650-km Jordan Trail. From gentle hills, wadis and arid desert, across the dramatic mountains, sandstone canyons and wild-sculpted escarpments of Jordan’s Rift Valley.

The trek ends with a beautiful, little-used ascent to the ‘back door’ of Petra, the ancient Red-Rose City of the Nabateans, which you have time to explore. A day relaxing at the Dead Sea rounds off this unforgettable adventure.

Costs

There are two ways to take on this challenge for Music in Hospitals & Care:

Full payment option

You are responsible for paying the costs associated with this challenge. This will be due for payment 8 weeks before departure. If you wish to, you can still fundraise under this payment option but there is no set target to achieve and 100% of all monies raised will go directly to Music in Hospitals & Care.

Pay £299 as your registration fee today to Discover Adventure (this is non-refundable)

Then £2,100 to Discover Adventure 8 weeks before departure

Any additional fundraising can be paid to Music in Hospitals & Care

Part payment option

You commit to raising the target and pay at least 80% of this to Music in Hospitals & Care 10 weeks before departure and the final 20% within 2 weeks of your return. Music in Hospitals & Care will retain 50% of the target plus any additional fundraising you achieve. You will pay a contribution to your trip costs which will lower your fundraising target.

Pay £299 as your registration fee today to Discover Adventure (this is non-refundable)

Then £500 to Discover Adventure 10 weeks before departure

And £3,200 to Music in Hospitals & Care 10 weeks before departure

Fundraising option

You commit to raising the fundraising target and pay at least 80% of this to Music in Hospitals & Care 10 weeks before departure and the final 20% within 2 weeks of your return. Music in Hospitals & Care will retain 50% of the target plus any additional fundraising you achieve.
