Christmas Carols in Trafalgar Square

2018 was an incredible year for Music in Hospitals & Care.

Not only did we celebrate our 70th birthday, we also managed to hold some wonderful fundraisers throughout the year to help support our charitable service. December proved to be an excellent time for live music, as we took to Trafalgar Square for our annual carol singing session beneath the tree.

MiHC staff, volunteers and supporters from throughout London and the South East came together to put on a show for the general public, with many even joining in to sing some beloved Christmas carols. 2018 drew one of the biggest crowds we’ve ever had, and with such overwhelming support, we were able to raise over £250 for Music in Hospitals & Care!

We’d like to thank everyone who came to the event and for lending their enthusiastic singing voices for the occasion – we hope to see you next Christmas!

Student Volunteering Week: Molly

It’s Student Volunteering Week, and we’re celebrating the important role student volunteers play in helping us share the joy of live music with communities across the UK.

Children’s Mental Health Week: Reuben’s Retreat

We’ve been sharing the joy of live music with children, their families and staff at Reuben’s Retreat in Glossop. The sessions are designed to soothe and support children with life limiting illnesses and offer an opportunity for families to connect with others who understand their experience.

Special live music for Burns Night

Burns Night celebrates the poems and songs of Scotland’s national bard Robert Burns and his lasting legacy. Our musician John Davidson is sharing two special live music experiences at Woodend Hospital in Aberdeen to commemorate the day.
