Become a funder
Generous funding from charitable trusts and foundations makes our live music possible.
It is vital in helping us to break down the barriers that prevent people in hospitals and care from being able to experience and enjoy live music.
If you are a Trustee or connected to a trust that believes live music should be available to everyone, regardless of illness, injury, age or disability – please get in touch to find out more and connect with our team.
Partnering with us
We have a passionate team who love to build relationships with the Trusts and Foundations who support us. We want to ensure that your partnership with us is joyful, impactful and, of course, musical.
Each Trust and Foundation that we work with will have a dedicated Relationship Manager in our team who will support with:
Updates and reports on the impact of your support
Opportunities to see our live music experiences in action
Our regular newsletter sharing stories from people who benefit from our live music
The difference you will make…
Staff member at Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health
“Events like these provide unique opportunities to bring moments of joy and connection into the daily rhythm of ward life, which is invaluable.”
Gordon, who attends The Friendship Cabin
“The music has really helped me to forget my worries and cope much better. It brought back my confidence and really improved my mood. It has changed my life.”
Alexis Azcueta, Leisure Coordinator at Homerton Hospital
“Patients who have issues with communication, memory or emotion, I see them singing along to songs. While they often can’t form new sentences, they can remember a melody and most of the words to a song. It can be quite emotional for patients as well. It can take them back to different times, a time before their brain injury.”
Partner organisations
Here are just some of the amazing organisations we have partnered with to explore the impact of live music on health and wellbeing for people in hospitals and care:
People’s Postcode Lottery
Thanks to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, who have raised £1m since 2017 to help share the healing power of live music across England, Wales and Scotland.
Creative Scotland
From 2025, we are proud to be part of Creative Scotland’s portfolio of cultural organisations receiving support on a multi-year basis. This funding will support our team in Scotland to build new partnerships, develop exciting programmes of live music and transform people’s experiences of health and care.
Arts Council Wales
Thank you to the Arts Council of Wales for their continued support of our innovative project combining live music and visual arts to support the wellbeing of young people with mental health problems.
We are about to start phase two, further developing the project with input from young people to better understand how we can support both them and our professional musicians.
Esmé Mitchell Trust and Enkalon Foundation
In Northern Ireland, we have been working with contacts across three different health boards to share live music and bring staff together to share experiences and learning. The Esmé Mitchell Trust and Enkalon Foundation have generously supported this work, including bringing live music to people living with dementia, with addictions, recovering from stroke, and children in hospital.
Would you like to partner with us?
If you are a Trustee, or connected with a Trust, and would like to find out more about the difference your support could make to the lives of people in health and care, please get in touch.
