Since January we have been sharing weekly live music and visual art experiences at Tŷ Llidiard, a residential NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Bridgend.
In January 2019, Music in Hospitals & Care received two grants from the Darkley Trust and the Arts Council of Wales to provide Dementia specific communication training days for our musicians working in Wales. Throughout the Spring we organised three training events, which took place in Wrexham, Swansea and Cardiff.
Electricity distributor Western Power Distribution (WPD) has provided funding for 15 free live music sessions across South West Wales.
Welsh guitar duo ‘Huw & Mel’ were joined by WPD’s Anthony Hamid and staff from Music in Hospitals & Care, as they entertained visitors to Johnstown Day Centre near Carmarthen.
Please give today to help improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
