Stirling Orchestra take on a Grade One challenge

4th August 2017

Exams over! Huge thanks to members of Stirling Orchestra who have been fundraising for MiHC by challenging themselves to learn a new instrument, to Grade 1 standard. Sponsored, supported and encouraged by family and friends, they have raised nearly £1,000 for MiHC Scotland.

  • Stirling Orchestra members are very keen to support music charities where music can be used to help and support people who need it most. We’re learning a new instrument to grade 1 standard for Music in Hospitals Scotland because we want to use our music to help others. The progress everyone has made since we started this journey is simply astounding - inspirational even. Thanks to everyone who has supported us and to everyone involved from the challengers, accompanists, families (for the months of torture they've endured as well) and to all those who have so generously made donations and sent messages of encouragement.
    Stephen Broad, Conductor, Stirling Orchestra

We’re hugely grateful to the members of the orchestra and to everyone who has supported them in their Grade 1 adventures. All the funds raised will be used to provide live music for people in care across Scotland.
