MiHC wins ScottishPower Foundation Awards

23rd November 2017

We are thrilled to have been awarded two prizes for our work by the Scottish Power Foundation, a current major supporter of MiHC’s work across the UK.

MiHC Trustee, Helen Ashley Taylor was deservedly awarded the Charity Champion prize for her spear-heading of our Manchester teams’ project: ICU Hear. You may have already heard about this project in the news – if not, please see a BBC report on the ICU Hear project here.
And, an ITV News Feature of ICU Hear.

Our team in Wales were awarded Runners Up in the Innovation Category for their project ‘Open for Music’. This project involves providing live music in care homes which open up their doors to their local community, encouraging increased socialisation with the home and opportunities for residents to meet new people.

Our many thanks to the ScottishPower Foundation for these two Awards. The Award money donated will be used to extend both of these projects in other areas of the the UK.
