In our most recent trip to Guernsey, The Shackleton Trio visited care homes, day centres, hospital wards, SEN schools and respite centres, sharing 33 hours of live music over two weeks! 🎻🪕"It was a really special experience. We met so many interesting people and our hearts were left full by the amazing staff and wonderful volunteers we encountered. It’s always a privilege to witness music activating a response, and triggering memories of a past life. We were touched by the number of stories that were shared with us, particularly after singing the Island anthem ‘Sarnia Cherie’. We’ve learned a lot about what this song means to so many.A heartfelt thank you to Music in Hospitals & Care and Healing Music Trust for inviting us. We had a very special time."#JoyThroughLiveMusic #Guernsey ... See MoreSee Less

Glad to see that Guernsey is on the hit list, I lived there happily for nearly 10 years, my second home. A place where the sun goes down literally into the sea Listen to the Space Pirates of Rocquaine sing their version of Sarnia x
Well done x
