Mentoring

To put it simply, Music in Hospitals & Care would have no music without our musicians!

We see our relationship with them as a partnership and we work hard to ensure that the musicians have the support they need to develop as artists, able to connect with our audiences.

An important part of this is providing new musicians with mentoring and support. These new musicians may be starting out on their career or more seasoned musicians who have recently come through our audition process. Either way, we want to enable them to meet the needs of our audiences who, by the nature of their health or care needs, are limited in their ability to access quality live music.

We are fortunate in the commitment of our musicians. They enable us to tap into their wealth of talent, experience and willingness to help a fellow musician for our Mentoring Scheme. Each new musician is paired with an established Music in Hospitals & Care Musician and supported through their first few concerts.

Through this, we help them to deliver their best and know that our audiences will continue to benefit from the best possible live music.
