Our Big Give Christmas appeal raises over £11,000!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Big Give Christmas appeal. We are thrilled to announce that together we have reached a total of £11,318!

The appeal ran from 3 to 10 December and donations up to £3,500 were matched by Big Give to reach our £7,000 target.

The funds raised will help to share more live music with people of all ages in hospital wards, neonatal units, hospices, care homes, day centres and community groups at Christmas and all year round. We’re so pleased to have raised such a fantastic sum.

If you didn’t get chance to donate, you can still help by giving the gift of live music today.

“During a Christmas carol, an older lady began to sing to her husband, who was unconscious. He opened his eyes to look at her, and she continued singing to him with love – and they held a beautifully sustained focus together as the music continued.”
Feedback from our musician Jane Bentley after sharing live music at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary last Christmas

There is still plenty of time to make a donation this festive season that will have a huge impact for people in hospitals and care, their families and the staff who support them. By providing moments of peace, tranquility, joy, clarity and reflection at this special time of year, your support could mean so much to someone going through a difficult time.

World Alzheimer’s Month: Lifting spirits in Cumbria

Our musician Andy McKay has been visiting wards and care homes across Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, where we have been able to share 29 hours of live music between September 2025 and May 2026. One of the spaces Andy visited is the Ramsey Unit at Furness General Hospital, an assessment unit for patients with organic illnesses such as dementia.
