Live music makes me feel absorbed, connected and renewed.

My favourite live music experience would have to be my first ever big gig – New Kids On The Block at London Docklands when I was 12. It was the first time I had watched or listened to music with that many people together and the sense of a shared experience was incredible.

Live music makes me feel reflective, emotional and free.

My favourite live music experience would have to be a live stream I organised with Music in Hospitals & Care musicians Laura-Jayne Hunter and Hattie Whitehead. They shared their own arrangements of classic songs with amazing harmonies and lots of health and care settings engaged by sending lovely messages and song requests in.

Temporary Live Music Coordinator

Live music makes me feel tingly, thrilled and present.

On a critical care ward, I watched a Music in Hospitals & Care musician play at the bedside of an end of life patient. The family stood around the bed – there was a lot of tension. As the musician started to play, they embraced and even smiled through their tears, singing softly to their loved one.

Live music makes me feel inspired, connected and joyful.

My favourite live music experience would have to be when I went to the Busted reunion concert. In primary school I was a huge fan of them but they split up before I was able to see them live, so I jumped at this chance – it was just as amazing as I’d imagined!
