Celebrating Trustees’ Week

5th November 2025

Our trustees shape the charity’s direction, keep it on track, and bring a mix of experience and perspectives to every decision. Each one brings something different, and together they play a big part in helping us bring the joy of live music to people who need it most.

Internationally recognised tenor Jeremy Huw Williams has been a volunteer ambassador for Music in Hospitals & Care since 2013 and has served as a trustee since 2016. This year, as he comes to the end of his tenure, we want to celebrate his remarkable contributions and thank him for his dedication over the past eleven years.

Jeremy’s talent as an experienced opera singer has supported several charity events over the years. Beyond performing, his experience and advice have shaped the charity’s work, helping Music in Hospitals & Care reach even more people in hospitals, care homes and community centres across the UK.

Reflecting on his time as a trustee, Jeremy shared: “As a Trustee of Music in Hospitals & Care for the past nine years, I have been privileged to witness how music can reduce anxiety and relieve pain, boosting mood and wellbeing.”

Like many charities, we are facing the challenges of a difficult economic climate. But with the support and leadership of our trustees, we’re working hard to meet the demand for our live music and reach the people who need it.

Trustees’ Week is a chance to recognise the vital role trustees play in strengthening the charity sector and thank them for their time, commitment and leadership.

If you are interested in becoming a trustee, we will be looking for new trustees to join the Board in early 2026, so please keep an eye on our social media for updates.
