We’re so proud of our amazing runners, who all completed the 2025 London Marathon. Each of them had different reasons for taking part and fundraising for Music in Hospitals & Care.
We are hugely grateful to team MiHC and everyone who supported them for raising over £15,000 to share joy through live music with more people in hospitals and care settings across the UK. Hear from just a few of our runners below about their experience.
If you’re feeling inspired, it’s not too late to apply for our 2026 team. Visit our event page to find out more and submit your application for a London Marathon 2026 charity place with Music in Hospitals & Care.
"Running for Music in Hospitals and Care was a very rewarding experience. Throughout the fundraising period I was amazed to hear stories from family, friends and colleagues about how music has helped their loved ones in the past. Music really does have a special power and it was fantastic to have the opportunity to raise money for the charity to continue to do the great work they do!"
"It has been an honour to run Music in Hospitals & Care. The atmosphere of the London Marathon, with all the music that was played, reminded me of how music can bring moments of happiness during the tough times in the marathon to the tough times in life. I am so happy I have been able to smash my target and provide funds to enable musicians to continue to spread the joy of music to those who most need it. Thank you again for giving me a London marathon place."
"From the moment I joined Team Music in Hospitals & Care, I felt part of something bigger than just 26.2 miles. Training was tough (especially those early winter mornings!), but as a musician and teacher I know music has a magical way of lifting spirits, easing pain, and connecting people – and knowing that my miles could help make more of that magic happen kept me going. Running the London Marathon for Music in Hospitals & Care wasn’t just a personal achievement – it was a chance to support live music that brings light to some of the darkest moments in people’s lives. I’m so proud to have been part of it, and I’ll carry those memories with me forever."
“Running the London marathon for Music in Hospitals & Care was probably the hardest thing I’ve done, but it was also the most thrilling, proudest and rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. The support from the MiHC team, as well as all of my family and friends who sponsored me and supported me for such a great cause, got me through the hot day and especially when I was struggling! I would recommend the London Marathon to anyone who wishes to challenge themselves and supporting Music in Hospitals & Care is such a worthwhile cause, helping provide other amazing experiences and happy moments for those who may need them.”
Please give today to help improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
